Professional experience

from 1986:     Trondheim Municipal School of Music.  (75%) Teacher of violin, viola, chamber music and orchestra. Has a special responsibility for the string department at the Saturday School, a program for specially gifted students  age 10 – 19. Conducts the Saturday School Chamber and Symphony Orchestras.


from 1987:     Heimdal Videregående Skole (Junior College of Performing Arts)    Teacher of  violin, viola and ensemble.


from 2002:     Trondheim Katedralskole (Junior College of Performing Arts)  Teacher of violin and viola

Has since 1986 been working regularly with Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and other professional ensembles in Norway as violist on freelance contracts; Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Tromsø Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Baroque Orchestra and the Trondheim Soloists.





Various concert activities:

Active as violist in chamber music in various contexts. Performs also on baroque viola.

Genius of the Violin Festival in London March 2004: Concert in Queen Elisabeth Hall, Lecture –recital at SOAS (School of African and Oriental Studies), 3 day workshop at Royal Academy of Music.

Spirit of Norway Festival, Manchester 2007, Chetham School of Music: Lecture recital and Grieg Slåtter op. 72 with Einar Steen Nøkleberg. Workshops in Norwegian folk music.
